Occupational Therapy![]() At Whitefish Physical, Occupational & Speech Therapy, our Occupational Therapist is trained to help clients achieve maximum independence in their activities of daily living (ADL's) which include dressing, bathing, toileting, and self-feeding. "Occupation" means any activity that "occupies" our time. Our Occupational Therapist may address problems with cooking, shopping, finance, household tasks and hobbies. The focus is to enable each client to do the activities of daily life that he or she finds meaningful. The purpose is to help clients be the most independent they can in all aspects of their life. Our goal is to provide independence through exercise, stretching, adaptive techniques, or special equipment so that you can do the things you love to do. The Occupational Therapist determines a client's abilities and limitations and works to develop all necessary skills for the client to participate in the roles and activities that he/she finds meaningful.
