Parents
Like every parent, you want the best for your child. Whether your child is looking to be an elite athlete, the star of the team or just to get a little more playing time, we can help them achieve their goals. We will push them to the limits of their abilities helping to improve their self confidence and athletic abilities, but not beyond their limits. This ensures they will leave here feeling good about their accomplishments. At the end of their first program you will see a boost in self-confidence and athletic abilities.
We understand effective training requires positive reinforcement and must be catered to each individuals learning style not just pushing them to their limits. We will do everything we can to assure that your child is ready to compete and excel in every manner. We will give them tools to improve their athleticism and build their self esteem, self confidence and work ethic to excel in sport and life.
Coaches
Our programs are designed to supplement the coaching that your athletes receive in practice, not teaching sport specific skills. We focus on the improvement of the overall athlete. Our programs improve sport specific speed, agility, power, coordination, balance and flexibility, helping to make them a better athlete and help with injury prevention. Your input is important to us in developing a program and setting goals for each athlete we work with, whether it is on an individual basis or in a team training program.
Performance Training Progams
Flathead Performance Training offers training programs for all individuals regardless of age, gender, skill level or athletic/fitness goals. Our programs are designed for youth, middle school, high school and college/elite athletes, as well as adults. Programs can either be set up on an individual or group/team basis, however small groups are recommended to ensure maximal one-on-one attention. Programs will be performed at SPORT Center, the adjacent Smith Sports Complex, or when working with a team, at your facility.
Youth (Age 8 - 11)
This is a time when a child's body is "hungry" to lean and ingrain new movement patterns. These 60 minute sessions will focus on improving your child's athletic foundations of:
- Balance
- Agility
- Jumping mechanics
- Hand-Eye coordination

- Running mechanics
- Injury Prevention
- Self-esteem
|
Sessions will introduce your child to these foundations of athleticism in a fun, positive and success oriented environment.
Middle School (Age 12 - 14)
This is a time when your child is starting to discover the importance of strength, agility and speed in relation to their athleticism. These 90 minute sessions focus on:
- Progressing athletic foundation
- Refining movement patterns
- Ingraining skills of speed, agility and power

A basic, but formal introduction to strength and power training will also be included in these sessions, helping to:
- Teach proper lifting techniques
- Reduce chance for injury
- Safely adapt to their changes in height, weight, strength and aggressiveness

High School (Age 15 - 18)
Most athletes in this age group have developed their neuromuscular patterns and have the basic skills of speed, agility and power. These 90 minute sessions begin to:
- Resemble demands of their sport
- Refine movement patterns

- Improve conditioning levels
- Bring about optimal athleticism

College/Elite Athletes
This stage of training is designed to push an athlete toward the absolute limitations of athletic performance. These 90 minute sessions are conducted at maximal intensity. These sessions will focus on:
- Fine tuning movement patterns
- Proper recovery methods
- Applied and measurable performance goals

Adult Programs
Our adult programs are designed for those looking for a challenging training program or looking to lose weight and tone musculature. These 60 minute sessions are fast paced to maintain an elevated heart rate and focus on:
- Increasing muscular strength and tone
- Improving body composition
- Increasing metabolism

Team Training
Team training sessions are designed to offer a challenging workout in an organized and progressive manner and are customized to each sport. These 90 minute sessions are typically conducted at the team's training facility and focus on sport specific:
- Linear and multidirectional speed and agility
- Core strength
